Job Function / Purpose :
The Clinical Applications Specialist / Trainer (CAS) is the facilitator between the customer, the project installation team and the technical services department. This position facilitates the clinical workflow aspects of the solution provided to the customer and will conduct customer needs assessments, track project status and train the end users. The Clinical Applications Specialist will be responsible for assisting in the pre-sale needs assessment as well as the implementation and training for the on-going use of the solution. The Clinical Application Specialist is expected to cross-train to our Education pillar to conduct Education specific customer needs assessment meetings and implement training to the end user. The Clinical Application Specialist will be accountable to the Director of Clinical Services with secondary accountability to the VP of Sales. The salary range for this role is between $65,000.00 USD and $75,000.00 USD, commensurate on relevant job experience, education, and other factors.
Key Accountabilities :
- Responsible for any and all System workflow responsibilities on the project
- Schedule and conduct Needs Meetings
- Needs Assessment / Programming Documentation
- Other Documentation as required
- Responsible for any and all Training responsibilities on the project
- Develop / Coordinate all Training handouts
- Develop / Coordinate End User Training Manual
- Develop / Conduct End User Training Sessions
- Other Documentation as required
- Serve as the point of contact for The Technical Services and Project Management team regarding system functionality specific to each project
- Work with the Project Manager to obtain schedule and milestone dates for the project and work to meet those dates. Demonstrate ability to accomplish assigned tasks on schedule.

- Pending issues
- Training / Concerns / Schedules
- Position yourself as a consultant to both internal and external customers
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of Beacon / Comtel Communications policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Overnight travel, as necessary.
- Demonstrate understanding of projects and focus on continued skill development in all areas.
- Arrive for work on time, dressed in a professional manner acceptable for the work to be performed.

Job Qualifications :
Superior knowledge and understanding of clinical applications such as Nurse Call Systems or education application systems.
Demonstrated ability to Train and communicate effectively with multiple types of end-user customers.
High School Diploma or approved equivalent.
Three years of experience in a health care facility or teaching position is desirable.
