Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Drafter for a 6 month contract, remote opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in drafting principles and experience with Autocad Mechanical. As a Mechanical Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans that support our client's engineering projects.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD Mechanical support mechanical design projects.
- Drafter will also be required to run costing for updated/created designs.
- Collaborate with engineers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards to ensure precision in designs.
- Create/Test blocks as requested.
- Create and maintain documentation for design processes, including technical writing for manuals and specifications.
Experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD,
- Experience with GD&T principles is essential for ensuring accurate designs.
- Strong technical writing skills for creating clear documentation and manuals.
- Previous experience in drafting roles or related fields is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects effectively.
