Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic team. As the Project Manager for Power Generation & Supply, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of power generation projects from conception to completion. You will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment of project objectives and requirements.
- Implement project management best practices to drive efficiency and mitigate risks.
- Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Budget and Cost Control:
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Work closely with the finance team to forecast project costs and ensure financial objectives are met.
- Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure that deliverables meet quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any quality or compliance issues.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
- Proactively address emerging issues and escalate critical risks to senior management as needed.
- Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management:
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility across project teams.
- Implement HSE policies and procedures to minimize workplace accidents and environmental impact.
- Project Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare regular progress reports, status updates, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, and technical specifications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience managing complex power generation projects, preferably within the energy industry.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, manage budgets, and mitigate risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements, safety standards, and environmental regulations applicable to power generation projects.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as MS Project, Primavera, or similar applications.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is highly desirable.
