Title: Seasonal Lifeguard
Reports to: Pool Manager, Assistant Pool Manager
Summer 2025
Beacon Hill Club is looking for energetic and caring individuals to work at our pool this summer! The Lifeguard recognizes and responds to emergency situations as appropriate, and reacts calmly and effectively in all emergency situations. The Lifeguard is also responsible for general pool area safety by enforcing pool rules and assisting in the set up and breakdown of equipment.
The pool season runs from Memorial Day weekend to the weekend following Labor Day.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Recognize and respond to emergency situations and administer first aid
· Enforce club safety policies and rules to prevent accidents
· Inspect pool facility daily and reports any unsafe conditions or equipment to supervisors
· Perform light cleaning duties such as trash removal, watering plants on pool deck, etc.
· Participate in regular in-service training sessions as required
· Assist Head Pool Manager and Assistant Pool Managers, as required
Requirements:
· Available to work weekdays, weekends and holidays during the pool season
· Attend all regular staff meetings and complete required trainings
· Red Cross Lifeguard certification
· CPR/AED/ Basic First Aid Certification, required (we can coordinate this for you to take the course before camp starts)
Physical Demands and Work Environment
· Walking, standing and sitting for extended periods of time
· Swimming during shift
· Lifting, carrying and pushing/pulling equipment and supplies weighing up to 30 lbs.
· Exposure to adverse weather conditions
