Associate Counsel - Insurance, Claims, Maritime

Beacon Hill is working with an international shipping company with a US headquarters in Virginia Beach, VA seeking an experienced attorney to join their small legal team. This company prides itself on its terrific culture and provides strong benefits and 401k with a match.

Qualified candidates will have no less than five (5) years of experience handling insurance claims and litigation in the shipping, maritime, and / or logistics industries . Additional experience providing legal and regulatory advice to the GC and / or C-Suite is a plus, as is experience managing a team and providing training.

This person will report to the regional General Counsel and will be responsible for leading the Claims team. Company policy requires 4 days per week in the office and allows 1 day per week from home. No remote candidates will be considered ; relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate.
