What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Administrative Assistant position at Beacon Hill?
Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant for a global law firm with a strong presence in Dallas. This role will provide administrative support to IP Patent Prosecution attorneys in the Patent Group. This opportunity is full time, hybrid (3 days in, 2 days remote), and direct hire.
- Prepare, finalize, and file documents with the US Patent Office for provisional, utility, design, and PCT applications
- Prepare and finalize client correspondence
- Maintain attorney dockets for both US and foreign patent matters
- Utilize EFS filing, Microsoft Office Suite, and CPI docketing software
- Handle confidential and sensitive firm and client information
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 3 years' of legal secretarial experience in IP Patent Prosecution within a mid to large-sized law firm
- Proficient in legal secretarial and administrative tasks, including document preparation, time entry, expenses, telephone contact, travel arrangements, and calendar maintenance
- Ability to work in a high-volume, high-energy environment
- Ability to prioritize multiple and sometimes competing tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on excellent client service
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and preferably Visio; strong typing skills and the ability to quickly learn new software programs
- Availability for overtime as required
