Staff Accountant - Newark, NJ
Salary: $75k-$80k Discretionary Bonus
Schedule: 5 Days a Week, On-site in Newark, NJ
About the Role:
A rapidly growing firm in Newark, NJ is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their in-house accounting team. The firm specializes in business litigation and has seen impressive growth since its founding in 2016. The successful candidate will support the Controller and help manage all in-house accounting practices.
Responsibilities:
Support the Controller in daily accounting operations
Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) follow-ups, including communication with partners regarding overdue client payments
Perform bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations
Handle audits and expense reimbursements
Coordinate with the external accounting firm to ensure that the correct procedures are followed
Qualifications:
2 years of corporate accounting experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Strong proficiency in Excel
