Job Summary
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing product layouts using industry-standard CAD software while adhering to GD&T principles. They must have a strong understanding of mechanical components, feature analysis, and product development.
- Main Responsibilities:
- Design and drafting: Create, modify, and optimize product layouts using NX and other CAD tools based on customer specifications and engineering best practices.
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T): Apply and interpret GD&T standards to ensure manufacturability and compliance with design requirements.
- Feature Analysis & Product Testing: Assess design feasibility through tolerance analysis, FEA, and prototyping.
- Troubleshooting & Shop Floor Support: Work closely with manufacturing teams to identify and resolve issues related to machining, assembly, and quality control.
- Defective Product Analysis: Review and analyze failed components, identifying root causes and implementing design improvements.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: 4 years of industry experience in mechanical design and manufacturing.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Siemens NX for CAD modeling and drafting.
- Strong understanding and application of GD&T principles.
- Knowledge of CAM software is a plus.
