The Manager of Planning & Supply Chain is responsible for overseeing the planning, scheduling, and forecasting and supply chain functions within IQMS/DELMIAWorks ERP to optimize production efficiency, inventory management, and on-time delivery performance. This role plays a critical part in integrating demand planning, material requirements planning (MRP), and finite scheduling to support the company’s plastic injection molding, machining, and assembly operations. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, strong analytical skills, and experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.
1. Planning & Scheduling Execution
· Implement and manage production planning and scheduling processes within IQMS/DELMIAWorks.
· Develop and maintain finite scheduling models, ensuring alignment with capacity constraints, lead times, and customer requirements.
· Establish and monitor time fences for production planning, balancing short-term execution with long-term forecasting.
· Manage MRP-driven work order generation, prioritizing orders based on demand, available inventory, and machine capacity.
· Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly scheduling cycles, adjusting for changing demand and production constraints.
· Oversee/manage Customer Service functions to achieve customer satisfaction and service excellence.
· Utilize the IQMS Forecasting Module to generate demand projections based on sales trends, customer commitments, and historical usage.
· Ensure forecasted work orders are properly consumed by actual sales orders to prevent overproduction.

Subject: Job Description Planning & Supply Chain Manager
· Collaborate with Sales and Operations to improve forecast accuracy and responsiveness.
· Track and analyze forecast vs. actual demand performance, refining models to optimize material and labor planning.
· Ensure finished goods and raw material inventory levels align with demand forecasts and production schedules.
· Manage Purchasing and Supply Chain functions to proactively manage raw material requirements.
· Establish and maintain safety stock, reorder points, and lot-sizing strategies to reduce shortages and excess inventory.
· Review and refine BOM structures and routing accuracy for optimized scheduling and planning.
· Oversee/manage shipping, receiving, logistics, and purchasing functions to meet operational metrics.
· Develop capacity planning models to balance machine and labor utilization.
· Identify and address bottlenecks, using Rough Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) and Whiteboard Capacity Planning within IQMS.
· Implement setup and changeover optimization strategies to improve production flow.
· Monitor and adjust tooling and machine scheduling constraints, incorporating preventive maintenance planning.
· Define key planning and scheduling performance metrics, including OTD% (On- Time Delivery), Schedule Adherence, and Lead Time Reduction.
· Lead initiatives to automate and streamline scheduling processes, improving efficiency and reducing manual intervention.
· Collaborate with IT and ERP specialists to enhance scheduling automation, reporting dashboards, and data analytics.
· Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to improve planning and scheduling accuracy.
· Cross functional leadership: Work closely with Sales & Operations to synchronize planning and execution.
Required Qualifications:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
· Experience:
o 5-10 years of experience in manufacturing planning, scheduling, and forecasting.
o Expertise in IQMS/DELMIAWorks ERP, specifically Planning, Scheduling, and Forecasting Modules.
o Experience in contract manufacturing, medical device, or biopharmaceutical industries is highly preferred.
· Technical Skills:
o Strong knowledge of MRP, capacity planning, and finite scheduling principles.
o Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and ERP reporting tools for data analysis and forecasting.
o Familiarity with RCCP, Rough Cut Capacity Planning, and Constraint- Based Scheduling.
· Certifications (Preferred):
o APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional).
o Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is a plus.

· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assess and improve planning processes.
· Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, working with Operations, Sales, and Quality teams.
