Description
We are seeking a motivated and self-starting individual to join our logistics team as Customer Service / Inside Sales. This role is ideal for recent graduates in business, supply chain or logistics looking to launch their careers in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with opportunities for advancement. This person will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, coordinating dispatch operations, and supporting efficient fleet management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBITILIES
- Primary point of contact for customer service including inquiries related to scheduling, deliveries, and dispatch needs.
- Respond to both emergency and non-emergency phone calls and emails in a timely and professional manner, including after hours as needed.
- Dispatch operations by helping manage and coordinate the dispatch of our fleet of trucks, ensuring efficient routing and scheduling based on customer requirements and operational capacity.
- Address any issues or delays that arise during transportation, communicating promptly and regularly with customers and internal teams to manage expectations and solutions.
- Build and maintain strong, in-depth relationships with all our internal and external customers.
- Utilize software to maintain accurate records of dispatch logs, customer communications, and scheduling details
- Help develop, implement and track performance metrics
- Assist in all aspects of logistics within the company
- Foster and reinforce a culture of safety
- Other duties as assigned
