Beacon Services of Connecticut provides home-based pediatric services within the CT Birth to Three system. Our practice focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of young children with a variety of developmental delays. Our BCBA’s work as part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians within an assigned region. We place a high value on training and supporting our clinicians so they may thrive and grow in their roles.

Job Description

Our LBA’s provide services for families and children referred within the Birth to Three system. They are responsible for the evaluation of a child's skills across a variety of developmental domains and use that information to develop and implement intervention services. Our Licensed Behavior Analysists work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide targeted, evidence-based interventions, as well as to assist families with the transition to school-based services. They also supervise and support early intervention staff ongoing assessment, data collection and analysis.

Overview of Responsibilities

  • Perform home-based intake visits and evaluations with potential clients
  • Support the development and implementation of individual goals and objectives documented on an Individual Family Service Plan
  • Provide supervision to paraprofessional staff
  • Oversee the development of written guidelines for behavior interventions, teaching plans, and programs
  • Provide coaching/training to families supporting the generalization of techniques and skills
  • Complete administrative responsibilities in order to meet funder requirements
  • Participate in weekly team meetings.

  • Strong organizational skills to manage daily administrative duties
  • Self-confidence to take the initiative in supporting families and collaborating with colleagues
  • Comfort working with technology-based record keeping and scheduling platforms

Working Conditions

Clinicians work primarily in family homes within a specific geographic region in the state.

Employees have the flexibility to make their own schedules.

Work Hours:

Full-time, M-F

Qualifications:

  • PhD or masters in ABA, Special Education, Psychology, or related field
  • Current BCBA certification or eligible
  • Current Connecticut licensure or eligible
  • Experience or desire to work with young children and families
