General Statement of Duties:
Under the direction of the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Recruiter is responsible for the day-to-day recruitment processes to fill the staffing needs of the agency. The Recruiter is responsible for cultivating working relationships with relevant internal and external parties to identify areas of need and to determine the best course of action to meet those needs. The Recruiter is responsible for maintaining accurate & relevant recruitment data and reporting it to the appropriate Beacon parties on an ongoing basis.
- Recruits positions to fill vacancies by sourcing applicants utilizing job posting boards, internal position interest forms, referrals and other sources.
- Conducts and documents thorough interviews to ensure information is accurately recorded to make best hiring decisions.
- Makes candidate contingent offer of employment (sends offer letter and accompanying documentations).
- Maintains the Candidate Status Log on an ongoing basis
- Conducts reference checks and driving abstract checks.
- Complies with all agency and DHS policies, procedures and regulations.
- Attends job fairs, one stops and open houses to recruit candidates.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- One (1) year of experience in recruitment
- Demonstrated ability to plan and implement strategies and improve processes
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills (especially with Applicant Tracking Systems and Job Boards)
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Sound decision making skills
- Self-starter with ability to handle multiple projects; good time management skills
- Works well independently
- Strong problem solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and personal automobile
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
- Experience in a non-profit and/or fee-for-service setting
