What are the responsibilities and job description for the Care Team Manager position at Beacon Specialized Living Services?
What is the job?
Care Team Managers oversee the day to day functions of a residential program. Some of the things our Care Team Managers do are:
- Partnering with the people we support to ensure they have quality services that help them live their best life and that services are provided in accordance with their community support plans and MN Statute 245D.
- Provide oversight and guidance to the Direct Support Professional role including scheduling, performance management, training, and serving as a role model.
- Oversee day to day functions of the program you are supervising including maintaining a program budget and identification of program needs.
- This position is on-call and will serve as a part of an on-call rotation.
What qualifications are required?
Applicants must be able to meet the criteria for a Care Team Manager as assigned by 245D which includes a combination of work experience and education.
- BA/BS in Human Services or related field with 1 year of full-time (or equivalent) work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 years and older OR
- Associate degree in a human services or related field: 2 years of full-time (or equivalent) work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 years and older OR
- Diploma in a human service related field from an accredited post-secondary institute, 3 years of full time (or equivalent) work experience providing direct care services to persons with disabilities or persons age 65 years and older OR
- A minimum of 4 years experience providing direct care services to people with disabilities under the supervision of someone who meets the above criteria.
Additional Job Requirements:
- Experience in a Lead or Designated Coordinator role preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a Department of Human Services background check
- Must have a valid driver's license
