As a handyperson on the Parker Towers Facilities Team, you’ll be responsible for handling basic work worders and repairs.

What you will do:
- Responsible for handling basic work orders within common areas, amenities and grounds.
- Provide high levels of customer service within our resident’s homes through basic repairs which will include but are not limited to:
- General Maintenance
- Plumbing repairs
- Clearing clogged toilets and drains
- When leaks occur, cleaning up apartment homes and common areas.
- Electrical repairs
- Appliance repairs
- Communicate information and updates to residents, dispatchers and supervisor.
- Be an ambassador of the property by answering resident questions and be generally helpful while always representing our cultural responsibilities.
- Additional duties may be assigned by your Supervisor.
What you should have:
- The ability to work with others to keep the team aligned and focused.
- The technical experience to be able to handle the repair needs of our residents and common areas.
- 5 years of field experience.
- Ability to use tablet-based work order program to complete assigned work orders
- Able to multi-task under high pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Weekend work required.
- A strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others
- A belief that doing the right thing is the only option, no matter how difficult it might be
- A willingness to respond to emergency situations no matter the time of day
- A valid Driver's License must be enrolled in the New York State License Event Notification Service (LENS) program.
- Basic – Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Outlook
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Overtime is available and required in emergency situations
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Able to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs.).
- Must be available to work 12PM – 9PM

Base Salary: $31.49
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience & location.
