Position: Leasing Agent, StuyTown
StuyTown Property Services is responsible for taking care of the almost 28,000 residents that live in our community on the East River between 14th St. and 23rd St. We are focused on being both a great place to work and to live. We are part of a very competitive NYC residential real estate market and need a very talented team to deliver on our promises to residents and to communicate to the world why they should live here.
We are looking for someone to join our Leasing Team at StuyTown in the role of Leasing Agent. If you are interested in helping people find their next home and to do it with care, precision and drive, then maybe you should work here.

What you will do:
- Exemplifying to prospects why StuyTown is the best place to live while building rapport and establishing trust.
- Conducting a high volume of property tours with new clients in an enthusiastic, exciting and compelling manner.
- Updating information in our Residential Management System with specific details regarding the prospect’s apartment search.
- Communicating the lease application process to applicants.
- Communicating landlord policies and house rules.
- Effectively following-up with prospective renters via telephone and email.
- Preparation and entering applicant information into the residential management system to create, review and print application, credit screenings and other lease related documents.
- Communicating, collecting and reviewing the required paperwork, fees, rent and security checks, and other lease documents required by the landlord.
- Maintain close and frequent contact with applicants to insure a seamless leasing process.
- Accountable for reaching monthly leasing goals.
- Additional duties may be assigned by Supervisor.
What you should have:
- On-Site leasing or brokerage experience with proven follow up and closing skills.
- A “can-do attitude” with the ability to multi task and remain calm under high pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A high stamina level along with comfortable shoes that will allow for a large number of property tours to be conducted covering our 80 acre community.
- The desire to become a StuyTown apartment expert who is engaging and informative in all interactions.
- Superior time management and organizational skills.
- The ability to work weekends (required)
