People Operations Associate
In this position, you will play a critical role in refining and defining our People processes to grow at scale. As our second member of the People team, you will report into and partner with our Senior People Operations Manager on the strategy and execution of Beam’s People needs. Including but not limited to recruiting, onboarding, culture building, and ad hoc human resources and business operations support, you will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on our culture and overall business growth. This person must be passionate about all-things People, have an ego-free, “no task too small” mindset, and be willing to roll up their sleeves and adapt to changing priorities in a rapidly growing startup environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in the strategy and execution of our recruitment processes across multiple roles and departments including talent sourcing, conducting initial screenings, coordination of next steps, and administration of candidate communications
- Partner with Senior People Operations Manager to understand talent needs, define role requirements, and identify top candidates
- Ensure a consistent and communicative candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from first contact to application, interviews, and onboarding
- Assist the Senior People Operations Manager with general HR/People Ops projects, as needed, including but not limited to culture initiatives, team event planning, employee engagement surveys, benefit tracking and administration, and office management needs
- Assist in the development and implementation of interview and hiring guides, candidate rubrics, and standardized onboarding plans to evaluate and select top talent, and subsequently set them up for success within the organization
Who You Are:
- 2 years of experience in People Operations, Talent Acquisition, and/or HR ideally in a high-growth environment
- Solid understanding of recruitment and interview best practices
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, discretion and confidentiality
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills; effective prioritization and communication in a fast paced environment
- Independent reliability; the confidence and ability to take initiative without being specifically told to do so
- Interest and willingness to support across a number of areas within People and the business at large with a “no task is too small” attitude
Location: [Boston, MA or NYC] Hybrid work schedule of 3 days/week in-office at either of our Boston or NYC headquarters.
