Summary:
Under the direction of the Scheduling Manager and Shop Manager, the Shipping and Receiving Specialist will be responsible for all shipping and receiving-related duties.
Responsibilities:
· Coordinate pickups and deliveries with external trucking companies
· Receive goods being delivered and accurately enter them into the ERP system
· Load/unload materials/finished goods
· Palletize and prepare parts/finished goods for shipment to outside process supplier or to end customer
· Coordinate local pickups and deliveries
· Package finished goods to protect them during transit to outside process or end customer.
· Release orders in ERP system and generate corresponding paperwork for shipments
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
Take basic measurements of dimensions and weights to communicate with freight carriers.

While performing the regular duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to feel, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach above shoulders; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
The Shipping and Receiving Specialist will need to frequently use overhead hoists, pallet jacks, and/or forklifts to load and unload trucks. This will also include the use of shipping docks.
Job Schedule:
Full-time:
- 9-hour shifts Monday through Thursday, 4-hour shift on Friday
Education & Experience:
· High school or equivalent (Preferred)
- Previous Shipping and receiving experience
