ASSISTANT HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER
Job Description
Bear Country, Inc. is looking for an assistant housekeeping manager to help run the housekeeping department at Jellystone Park Camp-Resort in Caledonia, WI, You will help the Operations Director manage a team of up to 30 energetic people cleaning cabins and facilities for our guests. Come be part of a team providing the most memorable experiences for families from around the country.
Duties will include:
- Training and managing the housekeeping staff for cleaning guest cabins and comfort stations/bathrooms under direction of the operations team.
- Keeping housekeeping logs and report on daily activities
- Scheduling the staff to meet the resort demands,
- Inspecting cabins and work sites to ensure they meet the Jellystone-Caledonia standards, assist with cleaning when needed.
- Ordering supplies as needed, and assist Operations Director in managing timecards for payroll for the department.
- Assisting guests with any problems or concerns
- Providing, training, and inspiring team to give exceptional customer service to all guests: both external and internal,
Candidate should have experience in hospitality housekeeping, experience inspecting rooms, and experience training, development, creating a fun and exciting work environment, and teaching exceptional customer service for staff. Experience: working in housekeeping, preferably with supervisory experience
Requirements:
- Experience in housekeeping/cleaning field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to positively motivate and communicate with staff
- Ability to work weekends
- High school diploma or equivalent
