What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server position at BEAR KING BREWING COMPANY?
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a timely and professional manner
- Present menus to customers and answer questions about menu items
- Take food and beverage orders accurately
- Enter orders into the Toast POS system promptly
- Serve food and drinks to guests
- Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction with each food course and beverages
- Clear tables efficiently and reset for the next guests
- Process payments and operate cash register
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation
Qualifications:
- Guest Experience Oriented
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Previous experience in the hospitality industry preferred
- Proficient in food handling procedures
- Strong customer service skills with a desire to help others
- Ability to upsell menu items and promote specials to increase sales
- Familiarity with Toast POS system is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks during peak hours
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately
- Knowledge of restaurant reservation systems like OpenTable is beneficial
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective guest relations
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $28.00 per hour
