Hire Rehabilitation Aides to work in the following areas, Boston, Springfield and Berkshire County.
Position classification:
Assists Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapists in administering treatment plan of exercise therapy to clients. Cleans equipment and facilities.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Under close supervision of a physical therapist, occupational therapist or rehab team member the rehabilitation aid can prepare the patient, administer treatment and maintain the treatment area.
A. Will provide maintenance exercise programs under the direction of the therapy department.
B. Provide direct patient care including, PROM, ROM, ambulation, positioning, wheelchair adaptations, eating/feeding programs, splinting, ADL training transfer training.
C. Assist the therapists In positioning in bed and in positioning in wheelchair.
2. Prepare, clean and maintain work area and disinfect equipment after treatment.
3. Transport patients to and from treatment areas, using wheelchairs or providing standing support.
4. Perform clerical duties; take inventory, order and stock supplies, answer telephone, take messages and complete forms.
5. Responsible for filing Rehab. paper work and maintaining the rehab. portion of the medical records.
5. Assist with inputting of therapy billing.
6. Maintain temperature logs and cleaning logs of hydrocollator.
7. Maintain and clean hydrocollator on a monthly basis.
8. Able to adapt/adjust and maintain wheelchairs including custom wheelchairs
