What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maternal Mental Health Liaison position at Bear River Mental Health Services, Inc.?
Position Description: Attend Utah Women’s and Newborn Quality Collaborative meetings. Engage with AIM patient safety bundle-maternal mental health project, meet with State maternal mental health staff and other participating Local Mental Health Authorities, quarterly, and assist in pilot program goal development. Provide information to BRMH staff related to maternal mental health training opportunities and develop a list of maternal mental health referral resources. Maintain a workflow with the Office of Maternal and Infant Health (OMIH) to develop training plan to facilitate community driven maternal mental health training. Assist in implementation of a bi-directional referral and coordination pathway to facilitate support for Medicaid-eligible and low-income individuals experiencing perinatal mental health symptoms. The bidirectional referral and coordination pathway should be built between 1) birthing hospitals, OBs, Primary Care, and pediatricians, 2) local health department programs who serve new mothers/parents, 3) substance use providers within the agency, and 4) early childhood providers. Establish or participate in a community based maternal mental health coalition to focus on system coordination. Assist in the adoption of a BRMH evidence-based screening tool for perinatal mental health conditions. Assist in perinatal mental health data collection and reporting, quarterly, including evidence-based baselines screening tools, including 1) number of perinatal mental health screenings completed, 2) number of individuals served resulting from agency screening and coordinated community referral, 3) type of agency referred from, 4) symptom reduction from intake to discharge, and 5) collect and report number of agencies/providers engaged in the referral pathway according to service delivery requirements.

- Ability to behave ethically and to understand and maintain appropriate boundaries with clients, staff, and the general public.
- Conduct expected tasks in a safe manner, uphold Center safety policies, and report perceived safety issues to appropriate sources.
- Flexible hours to meet client and Center needs.
Job Requirements: Bachelors degree in a behavioral health field preferred, with either special interest in the area of maternal mental health or lived experience. Must have a current Utah driver's license and good driving record, and be able to pass a Criminal Background Investigation.
Position Location: Logan, Utah
Position Salary: $17.94 - $24.64/hr. based on education/licensure/experience
Position Hours: 40 hours within the normal workweek
Position Shifts: Monday - Friday during operating hours
