Skilled Laborer (firewater protection tech)

Beard Construction Group, LLC, is currently seeking a Skilled Laborer with firewater pipe installation experience in or around the Plaquemine, LA area. The applicant will be required to assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties. Applicant must have the ability to take direction from a higher skilled worker or foreman.

Minimum Job Requirement:

*Must have at least one year of experience in the industrial construction industry and have a general understanding of the craftwork being performed. Years of experience needed in a particular position will depend on the craft which you are applying for.

Position Requirements

· Site Assessment: Inspecting and evaluating the installation site to determine the best route for pipe layout and to identify any potential obstacles

· Material Selection: Identifying and selecting appropriate materials for pipes, fittings, and valves based on project requirements and codes.

· Code Compliance: Ensuring that all installation work complies with local codes, standards, and regulations.

· Pass pre-employment drug screens and background investigation.

· Read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.

· Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned and assist other craft workers as needed.

· Maintain positive working relationships with all members of the crew.

· Produce high-quality work, safely and productively always.

· Provide feedback to ensure all materials, tools, equipment and information are available for the work.

· If unsure about any aspect of the work or issues regarding safe practices, ask a supervisor before continuing.

· Documentation: Completing necessary documentation, including reports on installation procedures, safety checks, and final inspections.
