Job Title: Docket Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Docket Specialist to join our Litigation Practice Group. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the success of our team.
Main Responsibilities
- E-file and obtain documents using PACER, NYSCEF, New Jersey eCourts, and other court resources.
- Assist in preparation of briefs and documents in support of motion practice.
- Conduct searches and extraction of information from court-related databases and websites, as well as assist with firm's eDiscovery procedures.
- Arrange for service of subpoenas and summons using Firm preferred process servers.
- Manage the Litigation Practice Group calendar and iManage.
- Interact with personnel from multiple departments and at various levels in the firm.
- Assist with department projects as needed and perform other work-related duties as assigned by attorneys and manager.
Requirements
- An associate degree or higher required; or any combination of training, education, and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position is preferred.
- Proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is required.
- 2-4 years of experience within a law firm environment preferred.
- Experience with PACER, NYSCEF, New Jersey eCourts, and similar filing systems.
