Minimum Qualifications
Associate Degree from a regionally accredited institution.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from a regionally accredited institution preferred.

Essential Duties
The Continuing Education Instructor works cooperatively with BCCC staff to perform the following:

  • Prepare and teach assigned courses in accordance with course syllabus. Prepare, review, and update course syllabus on a regular basis.
  • Develop and update curriculum for drone training courses, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulations.
  • Deliver engaging lectures, hands-on demonstrations, and practical exercises to students of varying skill levels. Provide personalized guidance and support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. Ensure safety protocols are followed during practical drone flying sessions.
  • Maintain accurate registration, attendance, and payroll records for each course taught.
  • Stay current with advancements in drone technology, regulations, and applications, incorporating relevant updates into the curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall quality of the drone training program.
  • Submit required reports and fulfill all contract provisions.
  • Assist with maintaining a classroom environment emphasizing safety, good housekeeping, and equipment security.
  • Maintain student, instructor, and staff confidentiality. Consistently monitor work area to ensure instructor and student data is being protected according to Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) regulations.
  • Multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Adapt and respond to changing work situations and environments in a positive manner.
  • Participate in professional development activities designed to enhance job skills and knowledge, as agreed upon by the employee and supervisor.

  • Interact with students, the public, the community, and co-workers in a cooperative, courteous and professional manner.
