High-Needs School) POSITION PURPOSE : The Site Coordinator is a full-time position that will provide school-based magnet program coordination for the MSAP (Magnet Schools Assistance Program). The Site Coordinator is charged with providing school-based leadership and support in program implementation, stakeholder engagement, and the promotion of student achievement within the MSAP framework.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Coordinate and oversee the implementation of the magnet program and the IB program at the assigned school, ensuring alignment with school goals and objectives.
- Provide professional leadership to staff members involved in the magnet program, including teachers, support staff, and administrators.
- Support recruitment efforts by participating in recruitment events, conducting school tours, and communicating with prospective families.
- Collaborate with the Project Director and Family Outreach Specialist to develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the magnet program and attract prospective students and families.
- Communicate effectively with families to provide information about the magnet program, address concerns, and foster positive relationships.
- Cultivate partnerships with community organizations and businesses to enhance the magnet program and provide additional resources and opportunities for students.
- Collaborate with district administrators and other Site Coordinators to share best practices, resources, and strategies for enhancing magnet programs.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES : Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal, Superintendent or other district office administrator as designated by the Superintendent.
