High-Needs School) POSITION PURPOSE : The Site Coordinator is a full-time position that will provide school-based magnet program coordination for the MSAP (Magnet Schools Assistance Program). The Site Coordinator is charged with providing school-based leadership and support in program implementation, stakeholder engagement, and the promotion of student achievement within the MSAP framework.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of the magnet program and the IB program at the assigned school, ensuring alignment with school goals and objectives.
  • Provide professional leadership to staff members involved in the magnet program, including teachers, support staff, and administrators.
  • Support recruitment efforts by participating in recruitment events, conducting school tours, and communicating with prospective families.
  • Collaborate with the Project Director and Family Outreach Specialist to develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the magnet program and attract prospective students and families.
  • Communicate effectively with families to provide information about the magnet program, address concerns, and foster positive relationships.
  • Cultivate partnerships with community organizations and businesses to enhance the magnet program and provide additional resources and opportunities for students.
  • Collaborate with district administrators and other Site Coordinators to share best practices, resources, and strategies for enhancing magnet programs.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES : Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Principal, Superintendent or other district office administrator as designated by the Superintendent.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including students, families, staff, and community members.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and lead educational programs or initiatives, with a focus on promoting student success and achievement.
  • Knowledge of marketing principles and strategies, particularly as they relate to promoting educational programs or initiatives.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently to achieve program goals and objectives.
  • EXPERIENCE :

  • Experience teaching students utilizing a language immersion model and curriculum preferred.
  • Knowledge of language acquisition theories and best practices in language instruction.
  • Ability to adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.
