ANIMAL SERVICES DISPATCHER: Performs standard, transferrable, and procedural based administrative and office support duties for Animal Services. Incumbent answers phones, distributes mail, provides customer service, prepares forms, files and copies a variety of materials, enters, sorts, and verifies data, maintains office supplies, performs receptionist activities, schedules meetings and appointments and related clerical activities. Checks in animals and takes them to the intake rooms, dispatches complaints to the Animal Control Officers and processes cash received for tickets and restitutions for cases. Â

- Â Â Â Â Â High school diploma or equivalent
- Â Â Â Â Â One (1) year of clerical or secretarial experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Â Â Â Â Â Interest in animal welfare and significant experience handling animals
- Â Â Â Â Â Excellent communication skillsAll applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation. Beaufort County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Â
