Description
The Information Technology Network Analyst is assigned to the Administrative and Support Services Division of the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office. The Analyst provides installation, maintenance and support of network and systems equipment implemented in the Sheriff's Office. The Analyst also provides technical work in regard to the installation, maintenance, and support of hardware and software for agency computers, printers, faxes, scanners, etc.
The Analyst provides guidance, oversight and exercises independent judgment, practical decision making, problem solving, planning, and accountability for assigned responsibilities. The Information Technology Network Analyst is responsible for compliance with the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office general orders applicable to non-sworn civilian employees.
Examples of Duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides technical work regarding the design, installation, maintenance, hardware and software support (e.g. install, maintain, repair, upgrade) for agency network, servers, computers, printers, faxes, scanners, etc. Installs and supports operating system software, (e.g. Windows 11, 10 and various Emulators, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Provides guidance, oversight and exercises independent judgment, practical decision making, problem solving, planning, and accountability for assigned responsibilities. Responsible for obeying and enforcing all applicable directives, rules and regulations of the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office. This position reports to the Information Technology Manager.
- Maintains all necessary standards, qualifications, and certification standards required of an Information Technology Network Systems Analyst.
- Maintains a neat, orderly, and safe working environment.
- Maintains positive working relationships with other employees, agencies, and partners.
