Recreation Aide

RECREATION AIDE I* (Part Time - Bluffton): This is an entry-level position. Â Under close supervision, assists with various athletic recreational programs and special events administered by Beaufort County Parks and Recreation (PAR). Additional responsibilities include maintaining and monitoring recreational facilities and assisting participants with various activities. Recreational Aides are expected to assist Athletic Supervisors and perform other related duties as assigned, including but not limited to registering participants, accepting payments, overseeing facility rentals, answering telephones, operating score clocks at athletic events, and general clean up after events.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Â Â Â High school diploma, GED, or student in good standing (must be at least 16 yrs. old)
• Â Â Â Willing to work evenings and weekends
• Â Â Â Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license with good driving record
• Â Â Â Experience in recreation programs, equipment, facilities and events is preferred
• Â Â Â Cashiering experience preferred
• Â Â Â Basic communication, comprehension and math skills required
  
  

All applicants tentatively selected for a position with Beaufort County Council will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for the illegal use of drugs and to a background check prior to appointment. Employment is contingent upon clearing both the drug screening and background investigation.
