Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor/Maintenance professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in our facility, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This position requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on both industrial and commercial settings.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Conduct floor care tasks such as buffing and stripping to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Carry out custodial responsibilities, ensuring restrooms, break rooms, and common areas are well-maintained and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Assist with residential painting and minor repairs as needed to enhance the facility's appearance.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any issues or necessary repairs to management promptly.
- Maintain equipment used for cleaning and ensure it is in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Experience
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning or commercial cleaning environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with custodial practices, including the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or porter duties is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
