Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for X-rays, and conducting basic laboratory tests.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide support in coding and billing processes to ensure proper documentation for insurance purposes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medical office or clinic environment.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is preferred.
- Must have two year experience as a MA and E Clinical Medical Software system, Type 45 WPM..
- Familiarity with coding practices related to patient care documentation is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations.
