Beaver Concrete is in search of an experienced and dedicated Lead Concrete Finisher to join our team of skilled professionals. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a deep understanding of concrete finishing techniques. As a Lead Concrete Finisher at Beaver Concrete, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our concrete projects not only meet but exceed our clients' expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Crew Leadership: Supervise and direct a team of concrete finishers, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
- Concrete Finishing: Perform and oversee all aspects of concrete finishing, including screeding, edging, floating, troweling, and stamping.
- Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure smooth, level, and properly finished surfaces in accordance with project specifications.
- Surface Treatments: Apply sealers, curing compounds, stains, and coatings as needed.
- Tool & Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain finishing tools and equipment such as trowel machines, screeds, and grinders.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and proper PPE usage on job sites.
- Scheduling & Coordination: Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other trades to maintain workflow and deadlines.
- Training & Mentorship: Train and mentor crew members to enhance skills and ensure continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in concrete finishing.
- Proven experience leading and supervising a concrete finishing crew.
- Expertise in using hand tools, power trowels, screeds, and finishing machines.
- Skilled in operating ride-on trowel machines
- Strong knowledge of concrete curing, sealing, and finishing techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project plans, and specifications.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Physical ability to lift, move, and work with concrete materials in varying weather conditions.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
