What You'll Do:
The HR specialist plays a vital role in the human resources department by providing administrative support and assisting with various HR functions. This individual is often the first point of contact for employees and applicants. The role is responsible for the HR processes involved with the employee life cycle including recruiting, onboarding, employee records management and offboarding. The HR specialist will have an in-depth knowledge of the HRIS platform, Paycom, and utilize the functionality to meet business needs including talent acquisition, reporting, analytics, communication and record keeping. This position is a liaison to staff and will answer questions, trouble shoot issues and provide guidance to address their needs. Full-time, year-round position with benefits eligibility. This position is located on premises in Breckenridge, CO.
Position starts at $58656 - $65,000 per year
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provides a welcoming environment and deliver customer service to our employees, applicants and guests.
- Maintains in-depth knowledge of HRIS, Paycom, to maximize functionality and reporting.
- Owns onboarding and offboarding processes, including background checks, I9 verification, and data entry and recordkeeping for other required documents.
- Manages Personnel Action Forms and recordkeeping for employee changes.
- Maintains personnel files and conducts audits to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Produces regulatory labor reports, e.g. EEO.
- Administers the talent acquisition process including requisitions, job descriptions, wage ranges, postings, advertising, and applicant management.
- Provides day-to-day administrative tasks including ordering supplies, managing HR mail and general email inbox, maintenance of employee communication page, employee referral program, employment verification, merchant ski passes, and Summit Foundation benefits.
- Completes necessary payroll functions in partnership with accounting including wage and status changes, deductions, timecard adjustments, pay corrections and bonuses, direct deposits, and check distribution.
- Assists with administration of wellness benefits and general inquiries.
- Supports employee events such as wellness fairs, parties, and employee trainings.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field – preferred
- High School diploma or GED - required
- Previous experience in an HR role or administrative position - preferred
- Experience with HRIS systems – preferred
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel - required
- Proficiency in written and spoken English – required
- Bilingual Spanish – preferred
