Job Summary
This role involves splicing fiber optic cables in both aerial and underground telecom infrastructure. The successful candidate will independently build, prep, splice, tag, and test new cables to meet client requirements.
Responsibilities
- Locate and repair cables faults to maintain existing cable network without causing signal failure interruptions
- Validate and test end-to-end service provisioning for the cable network
- Confirm accurate cable terminations on cross connect, patch panels, hubs, and routers
- Review site surveys, condition discrepancy reports, design drawings, technical manuals for cable installation feasibility
- Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies
Requirements
- To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Valid drivers license
- 2 years of experience in fiber splicing required
