What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cable Infrastructure Technician position at White Mountain Cable Construction?
White Mountain Cable Construction is seeking a skilled Fiber Splicer to join our team. In this role, you will work independently to build, prepare, splice, tag, and test new cables to meet client requirements. You will also locate and repair cables faults to maintain existing cable networks without causing signal failures. A minimum of 2 years experience in fiber splicing is required, as well as proficiency in using test and splicing equipment and software.
Responsibilities
- Splice fiber optic cables in both aerial and underground telecom infrastructure.
- Built, prep, splice, tag and test new cables to meet client requirements.
- Locate and repair cables faults to maintain existing cable network without causing signal failure interruptions.
- Validate and test end-to-end service provisioning for the cable network.
- Confirm accurate cable terminations on cross connect, patch panels, hubs and routers.
