Salary Information The salary range for this position is $33.40-$50.13 per hour.
Job Description As a Psychotherapist, you will provide individual, group and/or family therapy to patients as indicated. You will conduct initial assessments through collaboration with prior medical records, family, physician, clinic care, community agency representatives, and/or other behavioral health professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Screen and assess the clinical needs of patients through accepted standards of interviewing.
- Treatment Planning and Implementation: Make recommendations regarding an appropriate treatment plan based on assessment. Document treatment goals in clear concise terms that are behavioral, measurable and understandable to the patient.
- Discharge and Referral: Coordinate referrals and other activities, including maintaining awareness of resources for patient support.
Required Skills and Qualifications A Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or in a related behavioral health field is required. Current advanced licensure in good standing in the State of Maryland is also required. Three to five years of providing psychotherapy services and sound knowledge of the current DSM are preferred. Previous hospital experience is also desirable.
