Job Title: Printer and Finishing Equipment Technician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Print Equipment Operator to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating digital production presses and standard finishing equipment in a print shop/copy center environment. Key responsibilities include performing basic quality inspections, sorting and scanning hardcopy materials, and maintaining supply inventory levels.
The ideal candidate should have exceptional technical expertise, particularly in operating digital production presses and standard finishing equipment. In addition to technical skills, the successful applicant must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with colleagues and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Operate digital production presses in a print shop/copy center environment.
- Perform basic quality inspections before, during, and after output of each production run.
- Sort and scan hardcopy materials or other mediums for use in printed documents or digital format.
- Maintain accurate supply inventory levels.
Requirements:
- Post high school technology training or experience.
- Specialized training/education as required; graphic arts, imaging science, or print technology.
- Knowledge and experience working in a print shop and operating production/digital print presses - this is a must.
- MS Office applications, Excel, Word, Outlook.
- Graphics knowledge a plus.
- Good customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work long hours standing.
