Key Responsibilities:
Collect blood and other specimens from patients
Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood counts and chemistry tests
Label and store specimens properly
Maintain accurate records of test results
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of on-the-job training in medical terminology or anatomy and physiology required
ASCP Board of Registry Phlebotomy Technician certification or equivalent national certification required within one year
