Key Responsibilities:
• Micro-soldering under a microscope for extended periods
• Building cables and harnesses from schematics
• Quality verification and inspection under a microscope
• Identifying, repairing, and replacing wire harnesses and cable assemblies
• Recognizing failures, isolating problems, and suggesting corrective actions
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Ability to solder electronic components, including surface mount, ball grid arrays, quad flat packs, and through hole parts
• Operating multi-meters to conduct point-to-point current connections
• Using microscopes to inspect micro-components for installation verification and failure identification
• Hot air rework and circuit card baking operations
• Preparing, applying, and curing materials such as Humiseal, Parylene, and other conformal coatings
• Communicating in a team-based environment involving engineers and functional leadership
