Job Description
The ideal candidate will be committed to contributing to the mission of improving health outcomes in a primarily Yup'ik Native population. The work environment may involve hazardous air travel and working in villages with limited accommodations.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing medical care to patients in clinics throughout the YK Delta
- Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve excellent health outcomes
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge and skills to practice medicine in a remote area
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A minimum of two years' experience as a PA/NP
- Completed an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Training Program and received certification
- Experience with reading radiographs and dispensing medication
- Current Alaska License and DEA license
- Ability to supervise and mentor NP/PA students and oversee community Health Aide clinical practice
