Job Summary :
In this role, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing business opportunities in the combined cycle power generation sector. This role involves building relationships with key stakeholders, assessing market trend. Your leadership will be essential for generating future projects and growth at Bechtel. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business development, power generation technologies, and combined cycle plant operations. #LI-JL1
Major Responsibilities :
Direct the efforts and activities of Business Development managers / representatives in fostering and strengthening relationships with customers, potential clients, strategic suppliers, and teaming partners.Identify and create new business opportunities within the combined cycle power generation sector, proactively seeking out prospects for growth and expansion in both existing and emerging markets.Actively seek to understand customers' current and future growth plans, projects, and programmatic and technical requirements, with a particular emphasis on their needs within the combined cycle power generation field.Conduct market research on current and future trends in the combined cycle industry, analyzing potential markets and services to offer the organization’s portfolio of solutions.Manage the preparation of proposals for combined cycle power generation projects, collaborating with engineering, estimating, procurement, legal, and labor teams to ensure all inputs are integrated effectively for optimal project outcomes.Recommends commercial strategy and pricingParticipate in proposal and pricing reviews, making informed recommendations to senior management regarding bid strategies and adjustments for combined cycle power projects.Participates in final proposal presentations and negotiates Bechtel responsibilities and fee with clientsDirects the preparation and ensures corporate approval of contracts for awarded projects / studiesRecommends new services and new industry markets that the company should actively pursueInterface with Infrastructure senior managementEducation and Experience Requirements :
Requires bachelor's or master's degree (or international equivalent) and 13-15 years of relevant experience or 17-19 years of relevant work experience.Required Knowledge and Skills :
Utilize market awareness, commercial acumen, and an entrepreneurial mindset to develop and execute a strategic growth plan, guiding teams toward winning new business in the combined cycle space while maintaining a strong focus on project delivery.Demonstrate strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of leading teams to develop new business prospects and effectively influencing key stakeholders at all levels across different functions and departments.Showcase a successful history of leading major capital project pursuits, particularly within the combined cycle power sector and professional services environment, ensuring all aspects of project execution are aligned with client expectations.Exhibit robust strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to align business strategy with tactical approaches for combined cycle projects, balancing short-term wins with long-term growth goals.Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.Experience in sales and knowledge of current industry trends.Identify and develop new business opportunities in the combined cycle power generation sector, drawing on experience in structuring and negotiating commercial terms across various delivery models, ensuring competitive advantages in market positioning.Understanding the contractual structures from PMC / Delivery Partners / Construction Management / to full DB turnkey.Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to network and build relationships both internally and externally.Must be effective listeners with an ability to communicate concisely and clearly.Bring high emotional intelligence to the role, be an active listener and effective builder of teams and relationships.Display high energy and drive, confidence but also humility, a competitive spirit, collaborative teamwork, creative and critical thinking in problem solving.Knowledge of corporate policies and directives related to proposal and contract formulation.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to travel.Total Rewards / Benefits :
