Finance Analyst

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborates effectively as a team player, adapting to project needs and providing support across various areas as required.
• Builds strong relationships with the project teams, demonstrating a willingness to learn about projects and construction.
• Facilitates project setup by creating and configuring new projects in the financial system, coordinating with preconstruction and project managers for budgets, and managing bonding requirements.
• Manages change orders, ensuring timely documentation, accuracy, and alignment with project requirements and contractual terms.
• Supports client billing process, including preparation, review, submission, and tracking to ensure timely payments.
• Manages the commitment process, including creating and tracking commitments, ensuring proper documentation, and verifying compliance with contractual and financial requirements.
• Oversees intercompany project billing for equipment and supplies, ensuring accurate documentation and timely invoicing.
• Understands the purchasing workflow, ensuring internal controls are maintained for the proper acquisition and payment of goods and services.
• Reviews costs and cost adjustments to ensure accuracy, alignment with company standards, and adherence to accounting rules.
• Collaborates with project teams to identify and resolve budget-related issues, ensuring proper cost recognition and alignment with project goals.
• Work with the Chief Financial Officer to update processes and improve efficiency.

Job Qualifications

• 0–2 years of financial or data analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, and other advanced Excel functions preferred.
• Strong communication (both oral and written), organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a passion for continuous improvement.
