Job Title: Service Technician
Position Overview:
The Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining waste and recycling equipment. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, ensuring equipment is serviced to meet both company standards and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostics & Repairs:Perform diagnostic assessments and repairs on waste and recycling equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Maintenance & Preventive Care: Conduct routine maintenance and preventive service to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Customer Communication: Interact with customers to explain issues, required repairs, and service timelines. Provide clear, professional recommendations.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate service records, including diagnosis, repairs, parts used, and time spent on each job. Submit reports to management as required.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and company policies, ensuring all work is conducted in a safe manner and in compliance with industry standards.
- Equipment & Tools Management: Properly handle and maintain tools and equipment used for service tasks. Report any aissues or required repairs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or in a related field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and extensive knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
- Ability to diagnose and repair waste and recycling equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently or with a team and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and best practices.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as required.
Salary : $18 - $24
