What are the responsibilities and job description for the Military Personal Finance Consultant position at Becker Digital?
Becker Digital is seeking a Military Personal Finance Consultant (Part-time/1099) to provide personal finance consulting and training services for U.S. military service members. The Consultant must have a nationally recognized financial counseling certification (Accredited Financial Counselor, or AFC®, Chartered Financial Consultant, or ChFC® or Certified Financial Planner, or CFP®) which equips the individual to serve as the Financial Counselor. Additionally, the Consultant must also have proficiency in personal financial management and military teaching techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult on course content and curriculum development.
- Develop new training modules and assessments.
- Deliver both on-site (multiple US military installations) and virtual training sessions for military audiences.
- Maintain quality control, ensure compliance with reporting requirements, and provide post-training feedback to assess effectiveness.
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct in all client and team interactions.
Required Qualifications
- Nationally recognized financial counseling certification (one or more of the following): Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC®), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum).
- Demonstrated experience providing financial counseling to military service members.
- Strong communication, public speaking, and facilitation skills.
- Experience conducting both in-person and virtual training sessions.
- Ability to collaborate with military leadership and adhere to contract specifications.
- Knowledge of government contract compliance requirements.
- Travel to training sites.
Compensation: Compensation is negotiable and based on experience and qualifications.
Location: Hybrid with required travel to multiple U.S. military installations for training delivery.
