The Distribution/Shipping Supervisor-2nd Shift (2-10:30pm) for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations and developing their team of associates (15 ) for fast-paced daily distribution operations. The Supervisor analyzes and implements distribution strategies to support customer expectations, including on-time delivery, quality, productivity, and various other key performance indicators for the functional areas. Our supervisors also develop, lead and implement process improvement projects; and practices Lean and Six Sigma principles to achieve established goals and objectives.

You will be a part of the Ambient (non-temp controlled) Department and report to the Distribution Operations Manager responsible for daily outbound shipments. In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Drive a culture/environment of accountability, engagement, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in a Lean environment.
- Performance manage team and provide feedback and development opportunities to direct reports, including monthly 1-on-1 meetings with associates.
- Coordinate with other Supervisors to build and execute productivity plans by reviewing work volume forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering to balance labor across the facility.
- Communicate policies to associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency, and taking corrective action when required
- Perform root cause analysis using the problem-solving process/PSP and 5 Why’s to develop a logical solution to facilitate problem solving and continuous improvement
- High School Diploma with 8 years of experience or Bachelors degree with 5 years experience, or Masters with 3 years experience
- 2.5 years experience leading a team of 10 associates in a warehouse environment with the ability to motivate and develop associates, including 2nd shift experience
- Proven ability to make decisions, collaborate and thrive in a very fast paced, ambiguous environment with minimal support at times
- Experience with Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferably Oracle and intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Demonstrated experience with Continuous Improvement experience, Lean/Six Sigma highly preferred
