The Distribution Supervisor-2nd Shift **(2-10:30pm) **for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations and developing their team of associates (15 ) for fast-paced daily distribution operations. The Supervisor analyzes and implements distribution strategies to support customer expectations, including on-time delivery, quality, productivity, and various other key performance indicators for the functional areas. Our supervisors also develop, lead and implement process improvement projects; and practices Lean and Six Sigma principles to achieve established goals and objectives.

You will be a part of the Ambient (non-temp controlled) Department and report to the Distribution Operations Manager responsible for daily outbound shipments. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Drive a culture/environment of accountability, engagement, quality, safety, and customer satisfaction in a Lean environment.
Performance manage team and provide feedback and development opportunities to direct reports, including monthly 1-on-1 meetings with associates.
Coordinate with other Supervisors to build and execute productivity plans by reviewing work volume forecasts, determining productivity requirements, and partnering to balance labor across the facility.

Communicate policies to associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency, and taking corrective action when requiredPerform root cause analysis using the problem-solving process/PSP and 5 Why’s to develop a logical solution to facilitate problem solving and continuous improvement The essential requirements of the job includeHigh School Diploma with 8 years of experience or Bachelors degree with 5 years experience, or Masters with 3 years experience2.5 years experience leading a team of 10 associates in a warehouse environment with the ability to motivate and develop associates, including 2nd shift experienceProven ability to make decisions, collaborate and thrive in a very fast paced, ambiguous environment with minimal support at timesExperience with Warehouse Management System (WMS), preferably Oracle and intermediate Microsoft Office skillsDemonstrated experience with Continuous Improvement experience, Lean/Six Sigma highly preferred
