Becks Quality Cabinets, Inc., located in Suamico, WI is seeking motivated individuals to add to our growing, well-equipped custom shop. No experience is necessary, however, a "go-getter" attitude and strong work ethic is a must! Our company designs, builds and installs high-quality, custom cabinetry for our commercial and residential clients.
Key Objective/Summary:
This position is responsible for assisting in all areas of the shop from sanding, to building, to pre-installation of cabinetry. You will be successful in this position if you are driven, enjoy a variety in your workday, have a passion for performing quality work, and have an eye for detail.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ripping lumber to proper dimensions
- Cutting material to proper size based on cabinet design
- Running overhead sander
- Edge-banding material
- Understanding different cabinet parts and how they work in conjunction with adjoining parts
- Reading and understanding computer printout drawings of how cabinets need to be assembled
- Using air-assisted nail and staple guns in conjunction with glue and clamps to assemble miscellaneous items
- Gluing up solid wood panels to proper dimensions
- Surfacing wood parts to proper thicknesses using planers and sanders
- Quality control (checking for flaws in materials, ensuring proper constructions, etc.)
- Machining different profiles on lumber as specs provide (generally with a router or shaper)
- Laminating commercial cabinets (lay, trim, file, etc.)
- Tasks include heavy lifting - must be able to lift 50 lbs unassisted
- Install various types of cabinet hardware and attach cabinet backs
- Wrap and secure all cabinet parts to ensure that nothing is damaged while in transport
- Load cabinets and miscellaneous items with assistance into appropriate truck
- Any assigned tasks, as needed
