Pet Groomer

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pet Groomer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a commitment to providing exceptional grooming services. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of pets while delivering high-quality grooming services that meet our clients' expectations. This position offers flexible scheduling, commission-based payment, and additional income opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services including bathing, brushing, trimming, anal gland expression, and nail clipping for various breeds of dogs and cats.
• Assess the condition of pets’ coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques and products.
• Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
• Utilize Pet Care Software to book appointments and check pet parents in/out
• Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs, grooming options, and any observed health or behavior concerns.
• Provide excellent customer service to build lasting relationships with clients.
• Handle animals safely and compassionately, using proper restraint techniques as needed.
• Stay updated on the latest grooming trends, techniques, and products to provide the best service possible.

Skills

• Experience in pet grooming is required (i.e - apprenticeship , past experience, and/or traditional education)
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with pet owners and address their needs.
• Knowledge of animal handling techniques to ensure the safety of both pets and groomers during the grooming process.
• Team player with a can-do attitude!
• Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in grooming tasks.
• Patience and compassion towards animals, ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
