Administrative Associate – Bedford County Nursing Home, Full Time
Starting Pay: $15.34/hour, dependent on experience

Must be reliable and come to work, when scheduled.
General Description:
· Greets all visitors in person and via telephone; ascertains nature of business and responds to inquiries or re-directs as appropriate.
· Receives, sorts, processes and distributes incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, deliveries, and packages. Performs a variety of administrative duties (filing, copying, faxing, etc.) to support the Administrative Staff with special assignments.
· Maintains the Nursing Home image by keeping a tidy and professional workspace and front lobby.
· Records, provides, and maintains access control for vendors and guests as needed.
· Maintains visitor log books.
· Initiates and implements greeting card program for special events to include, but is not limited to, staff and resident birthdays, condolences, and other occasions.
· Creates a positive, warm atmosphere through appropriate music playing, food distribution, and similar activities.
· Hands out applications and promotional items to assist prospective applicants and residents; stocks applications and promotional items and replenishes/reorders accordingly.
· Receives applications and distributes them to appropriate department head.
· Will act as a back-up to Administrative Assistant as needed.
· Participates in required training and education.
· Accomplishes all tasks as appropriately assigned or requested by management.
· Participates in employee meetings and training as needed.
· Performs special projects as assigned. Performs other duties as directed.
· Meets attendance requirements and maintains the highest level of dependability. Will work assigned schedule and will be responsible for clocking in and out accurately.
· Consistently demonstrates ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, and reprioritizes work as necessary.
· The worker will be required to work overtime, every other weekend, and holidays as defined by the needs of the department.
Long-term care facility experience preferred, but not required.
