Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrate knowledge of subject areas as outlined in the MA Frameworks
Guide the learning process toward the achievement of district and school curriculum goals.
Constantly monitor the safety and well-being of students, particularly when students are participating in a hands-on activity using tools and lab equipment
Provide students with opportunities to become technologically competent
Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and communicate these objectives to students
Use informal and formal assessments to identify strengths and weaknesses
Appreciate cultural diversity and the importance of communications skills reflecting sensitivity to the feelings of all persons
Prepare lessons that reflect adaptation for individual student differences
Help students set achievement expectations and evaluate their progress
Administer appropriate assessments to measure progress and use the resulting data to inform instruction
Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other required documentation
Provide written assessments, referrals and evaluations when necessary for students with special needs. Participate in IEP meetings as required.
Participate in professional growth opportunities.
Communicate, including electronically, student progress and development to parents
Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as necessary
Participate in professional growth opportunities
Participate in continuous refinement of the instructional program and the overall learning environment
Carry out the school’s disciplinary code and procedures in a fair and just manner
Any other relative duties or responsibilities as requested by the Building Principal and/or Program Administrator consistent with the BEA Contract
Collaborate with colleagues to improve curriculum and instructional effectiveness for all students

Ability to work in a normal classroom and school building environment
Must be able to safely lift and/or move equipment and supplies as needed in the course of classroom instruction
Qualifications:
Massachusetts licensure Math Teacher 9-12
SEI Endorsement
BA degree or higher
Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check (C.O.R.I)
Successful completion of National Background check (fingerprinting)
Salary/Benefits:
