The Shipping / Receiving Clerk & Truck Driver is a multifaceted role combining Logistics, Transportation, and Operational responsibilities. This position ensures the efficient packaging, handling, and transportation of materials and finished products.

With tasks ranging from preparing bills of lading to safely driving a commercial vehicle, this role is essential to delivering excellence from production to the final destination.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and customer-focused, contributing to the success of shipping, receiving, and delivery operations with professionalism, reliability, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Pack and Wrap / Loading / Unloading

Follow instructions from the Department Manager, completing tasks efficiently and reporting back with questions or updates.
Prepare and track all required materials, equipment, and hardware for assigned projects.
Create bills of lading using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Wrap, protect, and package finished millwork to ensure safe transport and delivery.
Assist in unloading deliveries and distributing materials to appropriate departments.
Maintain high standards of craftsmanship, resourcefulness, and attention to detail.
Communicate completion timelines for assigned project elements.
Ensure products meet quality standards before advancing to the next production stage.

2. Department Production

Adhere to safe and efficient packaging and handling procedures.

Maintain a clean, organized workspace and support daily team operations.

Track and log time on project-specific purchase orders.

Support the upkeep of department-specific tools, machines, and consumables.

Exhibit professionalism, reliability, and punctuality in all tasks.

Foster a positive, solution-oriented teamwork environment.

3. Delivery Operations

Safely operate a commercial vehicle in compliance with company policies and traffic laws.

Complete assigned deliveries, pickups, and other tasks as directed by dispatch or operations management.

Inspect and maintain secure loads to ensure safety during transit.

Lift, carry, and load packages as required.

Navigate efficiently using maps and provided directions.

Provide friendly, professional customer service and collaborate effectively with team members.

Requirements : Qualifications :

Previous experience in shipping, receiving, and / or delivery operations preferred.

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to operate a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently.

Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and accuracy in all tasks.

Physical ability to lift and move packages as needed.

Physical Requirements :

Ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and prolonged standing.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
